- Visitors with a companion card are entitled to free entry when accompanying their caree on presentation of their card at the Admissions counter. Visitors with a carer card are entitled to 10% discount when accompanying their caree on presentation of their card at the Admissions counter.
- Parking: there are 4 accessible parking bays near the entrance of the Sanctuary. There is also a bus bay where it can hold up to 3 buses.
- Access: the Sanctuary has an easy-to-follow pathway system with access for people using wheelchairs and pushers. Wheelchairs and pushers are also available for hire. Pushers: $11 hire with $8.80 refundable deposit. Wheelchairs: $22 hire, fully refundable deposit (prices include GST).
- Accessible toilets: are located at the main Bistro and main entrance of the Sanctuary.
- The Coranderrk Tour: For your comfort and safety we recommend that you are able to get in and out of a vehicle and walk unassisted. The Eco-Train does not have wheel chair access. The 120m bush walk is optional should mobility impaired visitors wish to stay with the train. The remainder of the 90 minute tour is by Eco-Train.
- Assistance Animals: that are certified by a registered authority are welcome at the Sanctuary, however for the safety of your animal and our animals, there are certain areas that are off limit areas, they include the Kangaroo walk-through and all walk-through aviaries, and the Flight Arena Shows. Please advise us of your visit. On arrival admissions staff will provide maps and further assistance, and, if needed, look after your Assistance Animal.
- Mobile Guided Tours: Friends of the Zoos volunteers offer free tours via an electric golf cart designed to assist with accessibility through the expansive Zoo grounds. The vehicles can carry up to three passengers at a time. It travels at walking pace so that assistants or family/ friends can tour with it on foot. Tours run for approximately one hour and a half hours. Please provide 24-48 hours notice, bookings will be subject to availability. Operating terms and conditions apply.
